Our Story
At Kiru, we saw the future, felt it in our hearts and committed to
making it a reality for the benefit of the African people. What
began as an inspired idea in the privacy of a university lodge
shaped our resolve to solve the energy challenges of the dynamic,
resilient, creative and industrious people of Africa.

The conception
Inspired by infinite intelligence and propelled by desire
and ambition, an idea becomes a global conglomerate worth US
$500 billion employing more than 50,000 talents across 5
continents by Q1, 2040.
September 2019
The Birth
Kiru is coined from the African phrase ‘Nke Iru Ka’ used by
the Igbo people to inspire hope, faith, resilience and
courage. The phrase means, ‘the future holds greater
things’. At Kiru, we believe that the future is possible and
limitless. On September 30, 2019, Kiru was founded and
incorporated in Nigeria to set the stage for the future!

Baby Steps
How does a baby learn to walk? The baby first learns to sit,
crawl, stand, take a step, fall, get up again and take more
steps, then fall many more times until the baby walks
indeed. Through experimentation, incubation, acceleration
and professional training, our team persevered through the
good and not-so-good times till date.
